The Frederick C. Morgan Individual Achievement Award is designed to recognize a single HFMA member for outstanding contributions to the Healthcare Financial Management Association as a result of substantial activity over the course of a career.

Eligibility

Any active member of HFMA is eligible for this award except, officers and directors of HFMA and members of the Morgan Award Judging Committee during their terms of office. Nomination applications will be valid for a period of three years and may be updated when necessary during the three-year period. Past HFMA Chairmen are eligible for the award, but all activity relative to service as a national officer will be eliminated from judging consideration.

Judging

The following criteria are considered by the judging committee in determining a winner of the award from among the nominees:


  •  The significance of the accomplishments and contributions of the nominee to the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
  •  The extent of the service provided by the nominee to HFMA at the chapter, regional, and national levels, including awards earned.

Who May Nominate

A candidate may be nominated by any member of HFMA in good standing or by an HFMA chapter through its President.
