Telling the Story of Community Benefit

An HFMA Educational Report

Rising healthcare costs and confusion over hospitals' pricing structure are just two of the factors contributing to increased scrutiny of the community benefit provided by not-for-profit hospitals and health systems. Providers can help ease potential tensions in their community by injecting transparency into their community benefit collection and reporting process, and by improving how they tell the story of community benefit to stakeholders in their region.
