Summary
For the past few years, the technological focus in healthcare has been on clinical systems-electronic health records and achieving meaningful use. With all the recent mandates and changes, now is the perfect time to focus on the financial side of operations. Pay for performance, accountable care organizations and other payment models are poised to shake up the business office and its processes.
Up until now, providers have approached their physician and hospital revenue cycle separately and differently. Whether or not they interacted or touched in any way didn't really matter. However, with new care and reimbursement models, organizations must start thinking about where these care settings need to interact and what that means.
In the future, it will be necessary not only to integrate hospital and physician solutions, but also provide easy access to information and shared workflows throughout all the care settings. When healthcare organizations take financial responsibility for a patient population and have to calculate the total cost of care, they will have to break down their information silos and communicate across care settings.
After This Webinar You'll Be Able To:
- Understand the market factors that are driving the revenue cycle environment today
- Know how and where the acute and ambulatory care settings need to intersect
- See how new reimbursement models might affect workflows across organizations

Revenue cycle, patient access, billing office managers, directors, and VPs
