Chicago - November 14, 2012 - The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) today announced that, following rigorous review, State Collection Service has once again consistently met the "Peer Reviewed by HFMA®" standard for its Healthcare Bad Debt Recovery service. HFMA recently reviewed State Collection Service as part of the evaluation process necessary to maintain the HFMA Peer Reviewed designation.

State Collection Service's Healthcare Bad Debt Recovery covers all aspects of bad debt recovery, from primary and secondary placements through the legal process. It was built utilizing healthcare-specific processes to better serve the healthcare industry and its patients.

"We are extremely excited to continue our Peer Review designation," said Terry Armstrong, President of State Collection Service, Inc. "We are proud that the healthcare industry's leading association continues to recognize the solutions and service we provide our clients every day. It also speaks volumes to the dedication our employees have to providing the best results, not only for our clients, but also for their patients."

HFMA's Peer Review process is designed to provide healthcare financial managers with an objective third-party evaluation of products and services used in the healthcare workplace. The rigorous, 11-step process includes a panel review made up of current customers, prospects who have not made a purchase, and industry experts. Peer Review status of the product or service and its performance claims are based on effectiveness, quality and usability, price, value, and customer and technical support.

"We're pleased to have State Collection Service renew their HFMA Peer Reviewed designation," says HFMA President and CEO Joseph J. Fifer, FHFMA, CPA. "The HFMA Peer Review process assures our members, through a rigorous evaluation, that the reviewed product or service meets an objective third-party evaluation that assesses overall effectiveness, quality, and value."
