Chicago - June 9, 2011 - The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)
has elected Gregory M. Adams, FHFMA, to serve as the organization's voluntary Chair of the Board of Directors for 2011-12. His term begins June 1, 2011, and he will be inducted at HFMA's Annual National Institute (ANI), June 26-29 in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Adams is Senior Vice President and Partner of Panacea Healthcare Solutions, LLC located in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Believe to Achieve, the new Chair's theme, will be introduced at ANI. "Believe to Achieve encompasses the keys to success in this new environment," stated Adams. "It reflects the need to believe in your organization's mission and in others who share your dedication to achieving that mission. It means believing in yourself. Last but not least, it means believing in the possibility of a better future."
HFMA's immediate past Chair, Debora Kuchka-Craig, FHFMA, Corporate Vice President, Managed Care, of MedStar Health, Inc., said, "Greg brings to the role of HFMA Chair the perspectives of the provider, payer, and vendor. A member of HFMA since 1979 Adams has served two terms on the National Board of Directors, as HFMA's National Secretary-Treasurer, chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and Audit and Finance Committee, and President of the New Jersey Chapter. He has been recognized for outstanding leadership by the association with various awards, including the Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver, Muncie Gold, and Medal of Honor merit awards.
