June 10—To generate ideas regarding ways to improve the quality and availability of health care in the United States, America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) is launching a new institute called the Institute for Health Systems Solutions.

According to AHIP, the Institute will not focus on a particular model of healthcare delivery, but will instead seek to promote wide-ranging public dialogue among stakeholders regarding ways to improve the U.S. healthcare system.

The Institute’s advisory board includes professors, private sector health leaders, association leaders, and consultants. The organization will formally launch this week at AHIP’s June 12-14 meeting in Las Vegas.
