June 26—Two respected revenue cycle leaders recently joined HFMA’s revenue cycle and MAP teams.

Sandra Wolfskill is now director, healthcare finance policy, revenue cycle MAP for HFMA. Wolfskill will lead HFMA’s development and dissemination of revenue cycle guidelines, tools, and education to the healthcare industry. She also will provide technical direction to HFMA’s MAP initiative, which includes industry-standard MAP Keys for financial performance, the MAP App benchmarking application, the MAP Award for revenue cycle excellence, and the MAP Event for sharing best practices.

Wolfskill is a Fellow of HFMA and the founder of Wolfskill & Associates, a healthcare receivables consulting practice.  In prior positions, Wolfskill spent 15 years in various healthcare financial management and consulting roles.  She has served as vice president, senior consultant, and CFO—among other titles—with a variety of healthcare companies and providers.

Matt Kirk has joined HFMA as director, MAP client services. In this role, Kirk will support HFMA’s MAP App subscribers in their efforts to use the application to measure, compare, and improve revenue cycle performance. He also will manage MAP data operations. Kirk comes to HFMA from McKesson, where he served as client manager. Kirk also has held positions at Resurrection Healthcare, Advocate Healthcare, and Ernst & Young, LLP.  In 2009, he co-founded the consulting group Cambia Management, LLC.

“We are excited to have proven industry leaders like Sandy and Matt coming aboard to help guide the industry to revenue cycle excellence at such a crucial time,” said Rick Gundling, vice president, healthcare financial practices, HFMA. “HFMA’s members rely on our strong tradition of expertise and excellence in all aspects of revenue cycle management. I’m confident that Sandy and Matt will build on that tradition.”
