Aug. 6—HFMA members will have free livestream access to the annual TEDMED conference—the health and medicine edition of the TED conference—for the first time this September.

The theme of the 2014 TEDMED conference, which runs from Sept. 10-12 and is available for on-demand viewing from Sept. 10-14, is “unlocking imagination in service of health and medicine.” Sessions include a mix of speakers, comedians, musicians, and other entertainers.

“This is a rare opportunity to look at healthcare issues from 50,000 feet,” said HFMA President and CEO Joseph J. Fifer, FHFMA, CPA. “TEDMED provides new perspectives on the ongoing challenges our industry faces.”

HFMA members may participate in TEDMED events at no cost via personal computers and mobile devices. They may view sessions individually or as part of a group with other members of their organizations, such as during strategic planning meetings, at board retreats, and with other ad-hoc groups.

There is no limit to the number of users who may participate in real time throughout the conference or during the on-demand viewing portion. To register your organization:
