At the July 15 non-renewer drop, you undoubtedly saw your member numbers drop. Every non-renewing member is reason for concern, but it's particularly problematic when the member is also a chapter leader. When a member is dropped from the roster because his or her membership was not renewed, the individual stops receiving chapter communications, HFMA communications, and loses access to the Chapter Leaders section of the website.
Lack of payment is most often due to misplaced paperwork or delays in businesses processing checks. The best way to ensure that you full leadership team is current with membership is to pull a non-renewers list from the Chapter Roster Center. If any of your team members are on the list, encourage them to reinstate their membership ASAP. Direct them to the renew/reinstate link in the Resources and Settings area on the HFMA website or they can contact Member Services at (800) 252-4362, ext. 2.
