The countdown has begun for LTC 2012 and even though April 22 seems a long way off, it's closer than you think.

Beginning Dec. 15, presidents-elect will begin receiving a monthly email publication: Countdown to LTC. This publication is for presidents-elect only and will help you prepare to assume the role as president of your chapter.

Choose Wisely

When the starting pistol fires for your 2012-13 leadership year will your team jump off the starting line or will they stand around looking for direction? The best way to help your team get off to a good start is to make sure they have the training they need.

LTC is the best way to ensure your leaders understand the goal and the process. We offer six tracks-president, president-elect, treasurer, program chair, membership chair, and newsletter chair. We strongly recommend that you send the volunteers who will assume these leadership positions in the coming year.

During LTC, your team can attend educational and networking events that will allow them to learn from their peers and bring new skills, strategies, and successful practices back to your chapter. LTC is the place to be for ideas to energize, motivate, and develop your leadership team and to meet and work closely with volunteer leaders from the 68 chapters that make up HFMA!

Don't Get Left in the Cold

HFMA has reserved a number of rooms at a reduced rate, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis until March 15. Make your arrangements for the Harbor Beach Marriott by calling reservations at (800) 222-6543 or call the hotel directly at (954) 525-4000.
When making your reservations, mention that you are with the "HFMA" group to secure the group rate of $229 for a standard single/double room plus taxes.

LTC registration opens mid-January 2012. Look for additional details on the LTC website.
