Make sure that your team is registered for the 2012 Leadership Training Conference (LTC). Your leadership team does not need chapter leader access to register for LTC; just send your team members the LTC registration link.

Chapter leaders who have been entered onto the 2012-13 Leadership Roster have access to the Chapter Leaders website 24 hours after they are saved to the roster and can access all the information and toolkits.

The Big Picture

Tuesday's 8:30 a.m. general session for all attendees will explain how HFMA creates value for-and gains value from-its members. HFMA President and CEO Richard L. Clarke, DHA, FHFMA, will give an update on how the HFMA LINK program contributes to HFMA's thought leadership on healthcare reform's impact on the industry. Additionally, attendees will be among the first to preview the findings from HFMA's Value Project Phase 2 report, which will be introduced at this year's ANI.

Panorama Sessions

LTC's leadership tracks offer incoming leaders the essential information they need for a successful year, but sometimes it's also helpful to get a broader view. To that end, we've created panorama sessions to help attendees gain knowledge of other aspects of HFMA leadership that can help build a stronger chapter.

This year we are offering four Monday morning panorama sessions, which are open to all LTC attendees. Choose the session that best fits your needs.

Certification and the Larger Career Picture
8:30 - 10:00 a.m.

Members look to chapter leadership for answers and guidance as they prepare to participate in HFMA's certification program. This expanded Panorama session will provide up-to-date information on every step of the certification process from promotion to support, which contributes to chapters' membership and education bottom lines. The session will show you how to help members see certification in terms of a larger career perspective.  Since certification isn't the only career assistance your chapter can provide to members, the second half of this session will introduce you to HFMA's newly revised Career Center.

Effective Sponsorship Programs-Everyone Wins!
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

A successful sponsorship program can play a key role in your chapter operations-providing marketing opportunities for your vendors, education on products and services for your members, and additional funds for your chapter educational programs. This informative session will offer chapter leaders tools, tips, and insights on how to develop and sustain a successful sponsorship program that benefits everyone.

Minutes and Bylaws and Records, Oh My!
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Here's the essential information secretaries and other chapter leaders have been clamoring for. Join the Chapter Relations staff as they explain how to write accurate minutes, follow and update your chapter bylaws, and maintain important chapter documents.

8 Tips for Recruiting and Rewarding Committee Members and Other Volunteers
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

The success of any committee relies on its volunteers. This session will provide you with tactics for identifying and recruiting volunteers with the skills your committee needs and an eye toward succession planning. Learn strategies to motivate committee members and volunteers to complete tasks, take creative risks, embrace new initiatives, and commit to giving their best. You'll also explore ways to recognize the contributions of your committee members and volunteers, and support them when they face challenges.
