Chicago, IL - December 4

Summary

This seminar highlights different clinical departments along with other issues, such as pricing and charge reconciliation. In addition, this seminar includes a follow-up webinar that will be scheduled within 90 days after this session to provide support in implementing the opportunities identified by attendees at their individual institutions.

This first seminar in a planned series - which includes case studies to enhance the learning experience - will feature identification of revenue opportunity improvements and the minimization of compliance risks in invasive cardiology, emergency room, and laboratory departments. Subsequent programs will cover other departments beginning in spring 2013.

After the seminar, you'll be able to:

  • Develop an appropriate chargemaster structure in the selected clinical departments to reduce denials, and accurately measure value delivered, and identify issues and opportunities.
  • Identify key components of the charge capture process in each of the selected departments and develop strategies to improve the process.
  • Use case-study information, including sample claims and medical records documentation, to enhance the learning experience.

What to Bring (Optional)

This is a working session that includes the practical application of concepts learned in the seminar through case studies and the review of your hospital's chargemaster during the seminar.
