Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel speaks with two leaders in healthcare transformation—John Sprandio of Main Line Health and Bernadette Loftus, of Kaiser Permanente—about strategies for improving quality through the standardization and coordination of care, while reducing overall costs. Sprandio, a cardiologist, has built algorithms that help his team implement National Cancer Institute guidelines for ameliorating complications experienced by cancer patients undergoing treatment. Loftus has worked to extend continuity of care through hospital staffing, and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge among clinicians. In this webinar, both will consider the bottom-line benefits of innovations that provide better care. Emanuel will take questions about practices of organizational transformation.

After This Webinar You'll Be Able To:

  • Identify best practices that align the twin goals of quality improvement and cost reduction.
  • Identify examples of successful transformations in real-world health care organizations.
  • Describe the importance of changes in technology, management, and culture in implementing an organizational transformation.
  • Share principles described in the interviews with your organization.
