Q: I am curious if there is a benchmark of the typical supply costs to hospitals as a percentage of operating income. Do you know if a figure like that exists?

A: There are benchmarks out there in the industry, typically provided by an individual GPO for their customers as it varies widely due to bed size and case mix. Please see this HFMA report from 2005 which has a lot of good information.
