Lincoln County Medical Center will share how it has improved the patient access experience and maximized staff efficiency through the use of task-driven, user-defined, automated workflows. Lincoln will walk through several workflow scenarios (e.g., scheduled patients, walk-ins, emergency department) and highlight where they have impacted key performance areas (e.g., denials, point-of-service collections).
After This Session, You'll Be Able To:
- Implement automated workflows for different patient settings to improve the patient access experience and maximize staff efficiency, including those related to scheduled patients, walk-ins, and the emergency department
- Identify patient barriers and expectations with respect to payment
- Increase point-of-service collections through effective patient education and improved willingness to pay
- Reduce denials and improve patient satisfaction by running medical necessity in conjunction with the patient payment estimation letter prior to service
