The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015 repeals the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) and consolidates the Physician Quality Reporting System, the Value Based Modifier and EHR incentives into the new Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), as well as encourages physicians to participate in Alternative Payment Models (APMs).
