A deeper dive into the areas of concern for healthcare finance professionals.

You may already be familiar with HFMA Forums – exclusive targeted resources in the practice area most important to you. Each Forum gives you a broad array of tools to assist you in your practice area of choice.

But, in our rapidly changing healthcare industry, there are topics of concern that you may want to explore in more depth.

To answer this need, HFMA has created two new Forums products:

The Electronic Health Record Mini-Forum – for those in charge of researching, implementing, launching and managing EHRs

This Mini-Forum focuses on funding, implementation and legislation of Electronic Health Records. It provides you with tools and information from experts in the field to ensure value from your EHR investment. The Mini-Forum looks at provider examples and case studies to expose the best practices of EHR purchase, implementation and management.

The RAC Mini-Forum – for those responsible for monitoring, managing and minimizing RACs.

This Mini-Forum focuses on preparation, legislation, and case studies for RACs. With the RAC program becoming permanent, every hospital system needs to have access to the most up-to-date information. The RAC Mini-Forum examines hospitals that have completed the RAC process, discusses the varying best practices for preparation and appeal, including interviews, tools, and checklists.

Mini-Forums capture much of what you’ve come to expect from full Forums products, but instead of the big picture view, they dig deeper into one specific topic. They include:

  • HFMA-produced subject-specific content
  • Message boards
  • Monthly e-newsletters
  • Interviews with subject-matter experts
  • Tools such as spreadsheets, calculators, checklists, etc.
