On Wednesday, President Bush signed the Tax Relief And Health Care Act Of 2006. As reported when the bill passed Congress, the law will delay the scheduled 5.1% Medicare physician pay cut for one year, and will provide a payment incentive if physicians report on quality measures. In addition, the law expands the amount that individuals may contribute to HSAs; any individual may contribute $2,850 per year, and families can contribute $5,650, even if those amounts are more than the annual deductible.
