The Medicare operating payment cuts for hospitals proposed earlier this year by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for 2010 have been reversed. But that doesn’t mean providers should assume they have been spared these cuts. It is estimated that the future adjustment related to documentation and coding will be -3.3. percent.
