Managing the Transition
The significant challenges of the day call on financial, clinical, and operational leaders to provide stewardship for their organizations as they shift focus from volume to value.
The Leadership Conference on Value brings industry leaders together for two days of collaboration, inspiration and idea sharing. Attendees will return to their organizations equipped with the specific, real world solutions they can use to rededicate their hospitals and healthcare systems to creating higher quality and lower costs for stakeholders.
Speakers
HFMA President and CEO, Richard L. Clarke, DHA, FHFMA, will present new findings from HFMA’s Value Project that will be essential for providers as they transition toward healthcare systems that focus on value rather than volume.
The National Business Group on Health’s Helen Darling will explore the need for providing outstanding quality while maintaining lower costs and the role of employer-sponsored care in the new healthcare system.
Breakout Sessions
Throughout the conference attendees will participate in working sessions facilitated by leaders from the hospitals and systems that took part in the HFMA Value Project.
These smaller groups allow participants to "roll up their sleeves" and take part in lively discussions on the topics presented by our keynote speakers and essential issues such as:
- Specific competencies
- Best practices or policy implications related to alignment of quality outcomes
- Financial management and reporting
Summaries of these discussions will be be used to direct the output of the Value Project and compiled in a PowerPoint presentation that will be shared with all conference participants.
For more information on events see The Leadership Conference on Value Agenda.
