HFMA provides an individualized reference service to members and the public. The fee schedule is:

Quick questions:

• Free to members and nonmembers. This includes brief, readily available information such as standard industry statistics included in our frequently-asked questions lists, referrals to information sources, and help in navigating HFMA's web site.

Customized research or in-depth staff discussion:

• For HFMA members: $30 per 15-minute increment of research, response preparation, or discussion, plus relevant database fees.
  
• For nonmembers: $45 per 15-minute increment, plus database fees.
  
• The staff member processing your inquiry will call you to provide an estimate of the fee incurred. If, in the course of researching your inquiry, the staff member finds that additional time will be required, he or she will get your authorization before incurring any charges beyond the original estimate.
  
• These fees are payable by credit card only, at the time of inquiry.

Article retrieval:

HFMA members may get  free copies of up to three articles from HFMA publications by calling the HFMA Reference Service on-line request form (below). For more than three articles, research fee would apply. Click here for more information on how to get HFMA articles.
