Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa
Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Who Should Attend?

Incoming and up and coming Presidents, Presidents-elect, Treasurers, Program Chairs, Membership Chairs, Communication Chairs, or anyone that the incoming Chapter Presidents consider integral to the chapter leadership team.  Invitations are issued by the incoming Chapter President to the individuals who will represent the chapter at LTC.  HFMA National will cover the registration of up to seven (7) individuals from each chapter.  Additional attendees from an individual chapter will be billed back to the chapter.

What Will I Learn?

Fulfilling each of the chapter leadership roles requires both leadership skills and practical working knowledge of your position.  Through interactive leadership sessions, workshops, memorable networking experiences, and opportunities to connect with HFMA staff and sponsors, LTC will help you become a better leader and give you simple tips to make your role easier and more rewarding.

What is the Schedule?

LTC begins on the morning of Monday, April 18th with a general session with HFMA President and CEO Joe Fifer and Incoming HFMA Chair Mary Mirabelli.  It is followed by a series of hands-on workshops, intensive learning tracks and networking opportunities over the course of the next two days.  LTC coursework concludes on Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. and continues with Chapter Planning Time and an opportunity to end the day with your peers by either going to dinner or experiencing a fun group activity before heading home.

Why Should I Attend?

LTC attracts more than 400 chapter volunteer leaders from across HFMA’s 68 chapters — from officers to committee chairs and everyone in between. There are numerous reasons to attend.  Here are a few:

  • Develop leadership skills that are transferable to the workplace
  • Network with other leaders in healthcare finance and LTC sponsors who represent a variety of HFMA supporters that are ready and able to speak on industry topics at chapter educational events
  • Share best practices and learn from your peers about solutions to your latest challenges
  • Earn DCMS hours toward the chapter’s Education Hours CBSC goal.
