Note: The chapter president doesn't have to do all the work. Letting other members of the leadership team take the lead in projects like this can build a stronger team. Membership chairs are a natural for this communication because an effective membership chair must be able to expound on the chapter's service to members.

Dear Valued HFMA Lone Star Member,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Annually National HFMA conducts a "Member Satisfaction Survey." On or around October 29th, many of you will receive the 2012 "Chapter Membership Satisfaction Survey" from HFMA, requesting your feedback. The results are reported back to the Chapter enabling Chapter leaders to celebrate and share positive things that you tell us and address and satisfy specific areas for improvement within the Chapter.

As Membership Chair of the HFMA Lone Star Chapter, I can assure you chapter leaders including the Board, President, Officers and Committee Chairs take the results very seriously.

As a result of your previous feedback, there have been numerous enhancements. Please allow me to highlight some of the advances we’ve made, with your support:

    • 4-star venue and speakers for our Summer, Winter and Spring two-day Institutes (LCCC & Ballpark)
    • Established successful Regional Outreach education events—Central Texas, East Texas and West Texas
    • Offering timely monthly webinars at no cost

    • Family friendly functions (Ballpark, Picnic)
    • More Happy Hours and networking events

    • More opportunities for sponsorship booths
    • Maintained 2011-12 sponsorship fees
