Dear HFMA Colleague,
The HFMA MA-RI Chapter will be mailing Membership Satisfaction Surveys from HFMA National’s Research Department to a random sampling of our members towards the end of October. Members’ input is critical to our Chapter and to HFMA so we can identify which services are the most important to you, the education topics that hold the most value to you, and areas of service that can be enhanced.
If you are selected to receive the 2012 HFMA Chapter Survey, we hope you will take a few minutes to complete and submit your answers. “Leadership Matters” is the HFMA National Chair’s theme for 2012-13, and your response can help our Chapter leaders put together better programs for you, our members.
Below are some of our recent accomplishments:The Chapter added new March and June socials that featured great food, great entertainment, and great networking opportunities for members and non-members alike.
The Chapter explored different venues, holding meetings at new locations including Simmons College and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). The upcoming October 19th Accounting and Regulatory Technical Update will also be held at a new site, the Sheraton Tara Hotel in Framingham, MA.
The Chapter held over a dozen webinars throughout the programming year to address a broad range of subjects. These webinars were free for members, covered topics of interest to the membership, and were eligible for CPE/CEU credits.
The Chapter’s Annual Social and Awards Night—an Argentinean Wine Dinner at the Downtown Harvard Club was once again a sold out event.
Both the January Revenue Cycle meeting at Gillette Stadium and the June Managed Care Program had record attendance.
Industry newcomers and seasoned professionals alike gathered for presentations featuring healthcare reform, bundled payments, and much more.
Lastly, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support, for sharing your ideas and for helping the Chapter continue to provide the services and resources you need to respond to today’s ever-changing healthcare financial landscape. Here’s to making this year a very special one for the HFMA MA-RI Chapter.
