Unfortunately, you are unable to return to where you left off and will need to retake the assessment. HFMA recommends the following steps when taking or retaking an assessment. (This information is presented in the course instructions, as well as assessment start message.)

A. Use the latest version of Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Do not use Edge or Internet Explorer.

B. Clear cookies and cache. Enable cookies for the learn.hfma.org website.

C. Take the assessment on a computer with a wired connection if possible. If your Wi-Fi connection is not stable, you may experience delays between questions or get kicked out of your session.

D. While in the assessment, do not select the back button or previous page as this will kick you out of your session.

E. If related- Do not be connected to VPN; an organizations network. Accessing the eLearning account/taking assessments via your network may get you kicked out of your session and questions answered are not recorded.

This notification means that you have already taken the assessment, and have not passed, are in the 30-day window for re-takes, and must wait 30 days before your next attempt. If you think you received this message in error, contact [email protected].

Maintenance Requirements:

HFMA CRCR and CS certificants must maintain their certification every two years. The recertification process is straightforward: to re-certify as a CRCR or CS, you must take a 50-question online assessment. To help you prepare for the recertification assessment, you will have access to an updated eLearning course. Information will be emailed to you in advance of your maintenance due date.

CHFP and Fellow of HFMA (FHFMA) certificants maintain their certification every three years by meeting two basic requirements: Active HFMA member and complete 60 hours of eligible education activities.
