Nancy Hoffman

Nancy Hoffman is a finance professional with over 30 years of experience, 20 of which have been with Mercy Health System. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Financial Operations Analytics for the health ministry. Starting as a Senior Accountant and progressing through number of roles, from Applications Analyst to Director of Financial Analysis and Budget, Nancy has always focused on supporting hospital operations with financial and operational analysis, planning and performance improvement; particularly in regard to labor, supply and other expense stewardship initiatives. She now leads the Ministry's Financial Performance and Decision Support teams. These teams partner with senior Operational and Quality leaders to develop and provide financial and clinical service line analytics, benchmarking and performance improvement support across Mercy's 42 hospitals and over 900 physician practices and outpatient facilities.

With a focus on innovation, Steve drives how Syntellis' portfolio and clients accelerate value through data, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Steve has been a central figure in leveraging data as a strategic asset for over 25 years. He has led businesses through significant transformation and growth while delivering differentiating solutions. He has applied the power of data across various sectors, with a primary focus on healthcare technology. Steve holds a BS in Economics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and an Executive MBA from San Diego State University.

Randy Albert

AVP, Finance & Analytics,

Randy has nearly 20 years of experience in financial management for businesses and financial institutions. As the AVP of Finance and Analytics, Randy manages systemwide annual budgets and oversees financial forecasting, capital management, financial planning and analysis, performance management, decision support, cost accounting, business intelligence and the integrated hospital finance support structure. Mr. Albert has served as a leader during the most transformative time in Northern Light Health history, co- leading the Operational Excellence program to further integrate and systemize processes across the health system. This ongoing program included Finance department reorganization and the development of an analytics infrastructure and intuitive dashboards for leaders. Mr. Albert's passion for change management via two-way communication and the staff lead design team process has resulted in over $100M in system savings to date. A native of Fort Kent, Maine, Randy attended the University of Maine where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a Finance concentration. He is currently completing an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management. In addition to his work as AVP, Randy also co-chairs Northern Light Health's Enterprise Information Management Council, which is tasked with setting the strategic direction for analytics for the health system. He also serves as Chair of the national Healthcare Financial Management Association's (HFMA) Financial Analytics leadership council and holds roles on other councils internal to Northern Light Health.

Lynn Severson

Lynn Severson brings over 25 years of healthcare finance experience. She began her career with Essentia Health in Duluth, MN and has experienced the transformation of healthcare as the organization evolved and grew substantially over the years into an integrated system comprised of small rural clinics and hospitals to larger urban facilities. Lynn's experience has spanned both financial and operational accounting, she has overseen multiple decision support system implementations and has been an integral leader in developing a collaborative partnership with operations. Her current role is focused on transforming the management accounting function by implementing a platform and processes that bring advanced planning and analytics, costing and decision support information to the organization. Lynn received her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin and her master's degree in business with a focus in healthcare administration from Concordia University St. Paul.
