Highlights of the Administration’s FY 2023 Budget

This summary provides highlights of healthcare-related proposals included in the President’s budget for fiscal year (FY) 2023, which was released by the Biden Administration on March 28, 2022. All budget estimates shown are those provided by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) or drawn from the Department of Health and Human Services Budget in Brief. As usual, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is expected to prepare an analysis of the President’s budget proposals, and CBO scoring may differ. President Biden’s budget for FY 2023 proposes policies that OMB estimates would reduce federal deficits by a total of $1.045 trillion over the next 10 years (FYs 2023-2032).
