President’s Welcome

Dear Valued Members,

It is my distinct honor to serve as this year’s President, particularly as we are presented with the opportunity to define the “new normal” for ourselves and for our Chapter. While there have been profound loses and challenges posed over the last few years, I feel confident that we will emerge together with lessons learned and continued value to be gained from our membership and fellowship in this Chapter.

We have some exciting changes and initiatives on the horizon to help reinvigorate the participation of our sponsors, provider members, and vendor members. We’ve already received positive feedback around the creation of our Volunteer Program and Engagement Plan for those members who want to find new ways to participate.

We have listened to your feedback, and our Programming Committee is dedicated to prioritizing the addition of Provider speakers to our education sessions. Education is our foremost priority, and we welcome any speaker volunteers or topic suggestions that are top of mind for our members.

We are gearing up for our Summer Conference, where we’ll be Puttin’ on the Ritz for the second time back in New Orleans. Those who attended the first iteration of this conference should recall what a successful meeting we had, and we are currently on pace with attendance to ensure a successful meeting. We are also working actively to ensure that our valued Sponsors are highlighted in the best ways possible, so we have opened up exhibit tables at this event.

We’re also excited to announce the location change of our Winter Meeting to the L’Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge, so please put us on your calendar for January 29^th-31^st. We hope you can join us and your fellow HFMA members for the next few meetings!
