Medicare Shared Savings Program Proposed Benchmarking Rule Summary

On January 28, 2016, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) placed on public display a proposed rule that would make important changes to the benchmarking rebasing methodology used in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), among other changes. This proposed rule was published in the February 3, 2016, issue of the Federal Register (81 FR 5824-5872).
