HFMA Comments on COVID-19 Interim Final Rules
HFMA submitted a comment letter to CMS on two COVID-19 interim final rules. In the letter, HFMA asked CMS to use its waiver authority to address the following issues:
- Ensure Medicare COVID-19 Patients with Sepsis MS-DRGS Receive Payment Increase
- Suspend Transfer Payment Policies for COVID-19 Discharges
- Support Provision of Uncompensated Care to Eligible Patients
- Waive Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Productivity Standard
- Provide Certainty for Telehealth Investments
- Relocating a Provider-Based Department (PBD) to a Patient’s Home
- Extend the Timeframe to File a First Level Appeal
