Pete November is new CEO at Ochsner Health

The Ochsner Health board of directors has unanimously appointed Pete November, JD, CPA, as CEO. November previously served as executive vice president and CFO of the New Orleans-based health system.

“Pete is an exemplary leader who has a deep understanding of Ochsner Health, our patients and the communities we serve,” said Andy Wisdom, Ochsner board chair. “Over the last several years, we’ve developed a clear leadership succession plan, and the board’s unanimous vote is a strong signal of our confidence in Pete to build on Ochsner’s foundation of excellence to ensure we remain strong for many years to come.” 

Before joining Ochsner in 2012, November served as executive vice president, general counsel and head of acquisitions for LHC Group, Inc., a provider of post-acute healthcare services headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana. Before that, he was an equity partner with Alston & Bird, an international law firm, where he helped healthcare organizations navigate growth and complex partnerships. November is a member of Louisiana Chapter of HFMA.  


Boyd Chappell

Boyd Chappell joins Jones Memorial as CFO 

Boyd Chappell, JD, MBA, is the new CFO at Jones Memorial Hospital, a 49-bed acute care facility located in Wellsville, New York. Chappell, a member of HFMA’s Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, previously served as CFO at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique, Michigan. He also has held financial positions at a number of healthcare facilities in Utah and Alaska. In announcing the new hire, Jones Memorial CEO James Helms cited Chappell’s “extensive experience with the unique challenges that face those of us in rural medicine.” 


Bill Pack

Bill Pack accepts CFO role at Conway Regional 

Arkansas’ Conway Regional Health System has hired Bill Pack, FHFMA, MBA, as CFO. Pack has more than 30 years of experience at health systems in Colorado and Texas, most recently serving as a system vice president for Centura Health in Denver. Prior to that, he held finance leadership positions with CHI St. Luke’s in Houston, CHRISTUS in San Antonio and SCL Health in Denver. Pack is a member of HFMA’s Arkansas Chapter. 


Gail Kosyla

Yale New Haven Health names Gail Kosyla as CFO 

Yale New Haven Health in New Haven, Connecticut, recently selected Gail Kosyla, CHFP, MBA, CPA, as its CFO. Kosyla has experience in senior roles at both regional and national health systems, including RWJBarnabas Health, Hunterdon Healthcare and St. Mary Medical Center. A member of HFMA’s New Jersey Chapter, Kosyla also has served as a member of the New Jersey Hospital Association’s policy development committee.  


Chris Wilde

Chris Wilde is new CFO at Vanderbilt 

Chris Wilde, MBA, CPA, has been named to the newly expanded role of vice president and divisional CFO for Vanderbilt University Hospital and Adult Ambulatory Operations in Nashville, Tennessee. In the position, he will be responsible for enabling Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s flagship hospital and adult clinics to achieve operational, financial and strategic goals. Wilde previously served as executive vice president and enterprise CFO for Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia. He is a member of HFMA’s Georgia Chapter.
