The approximately 150 invitation-only healthcare leaders of HFMA’s Thought Leadership Retreat (TLR) convene for an in-depth conversation on The Future of the Healthcare Workforce.

The healthcare industry is currently facing a confluence of factors leading the industry into a workforce crisis. Employment and contract labor costs are stressing hospital’s financial margins. And the supply of essential clinical workers is on the brink of crisis. Burnout and erosion in the joy of work have cast a shadow over the clinical professions.  

Is there hope? Healthcare organizations are increasingly exploring the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology as potential solutions. AI holds promise in alleviating workforce shortages by augmenting tasks traditionally performed by healthcare professionals. The HFMA Thought Leadership Retreat 2024 aims to bring together policy experts, financial and clinical leaders, and other stakeholders to explore solutions, share insights, and collaboratively shape the future of the healthcare workforce.
