President’s Welcome
Welcome to the HFMA Nevada Chapter! My name is Hailee Long and I am excited to begin my term as your 2024-2025 President.
I have had the opportunity to meet many of you over the last few years and for those I do not know, here is a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Utah, but for the last 15 years have lived in California and Nevada. I am an outdoor enthusiast and love travelling with my husband and our two puppies. I have been fortunate enough to work in healthcare for the last 15 years from Finance to Operations and Strategy. I am currently a Healthcare Executive for Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada and Managing Partner for its affiliate companies.
I would like to begin by thanking our Immediate Past President Vanessa Couch-Laguana for her support of the Nevada Chapter along with our outgoing board members for their continued service and volunteerism. Your commitment and collaboration have allowed the chapter to build a foundation that offers great value to our members.
To our new leadership board and all chapter members, HFMA has opportunities for our members to take advantage of whether you work within a large hospital system, a private physician practice, or any organization in between. Our leadership team is excited to grow our chapter and offer new insights to our members by addressing key industry issues:
- Data security and privacy
- Healthcare access
- Labor shortages
- Healthcare regulations
- Value based care
This year our number one chapter priority is to improve member and business partner engagement through expanded networking and educational opportunities. We want to assure members understand the value of your HFMA membership including certification, education, workshops, conferences and more. Please visit our website often for updates as we continue to share some of the events that we have planned for this upcoming year to meet you, provide education either virtually or in-person, and/or to network with you soon!
