President’s Welcome
Welcome to Oregon HFMA. I am your 2024-2025 Oregon Chapter President, Amanda de los Reyes.
I’m so proud to be President of the Oregon Chapter! I have been a member for over fifteen years, I have made so many profound connections with our members it has helped me grow personally and professionally. I invite you to participate in our events and hope you will find as much value as I have.
Hopefully, you had the opportunity to attend our Annual Installation Conference at Salishan, where we welcomed our new leadership team! Our annual themed parties are so much fun, this year the theme was Barnyard Bash what a hoot! Next year’s theme is unlike any theme we have had before and I cannot wait, so please consider joining us when Evan Martin becomes President. I am thrilled to be working closely with our leadership team this year. If there is any way we can support you, please let us know.
While our largest conference is in May when we welcome our new leadership team, please consider attending one of our other conferences throughout the year. For me, the networking at conferences has been invaluable, I often “phone a friend” to talk about how they are handling a unique problem. Our “problem solving” sessions are one of a kind. You can submit a question in advance while everyone in person and virtually can weigh in and share their feedback. In addition, there are several other opportunities for education and networking in the form of webinars, Western Region Symposium (January), Revenue Cycle Conference (early spring) and the annual Conference in June, just to name a few.
Oregon HFMA is on a mission to increase our certifications and we have several “Bootcamps” aimed at helping you prepare and be successful in taking the tests! Please watch through emails through the year on the many bootcamps we offer.
