Amado Carreon is currently pursuing his Master of Healthcare Administration at Texas State University after graduating with a Bachelor of Healthcare Administration in May of 2023. He has cultivated a diverse professional journey marked by significant achievements and contributions to the healthcare industry, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.
Amado’s residency at Baylor Scott and White Health was a testament to his exceptional leadership and expertise across a range of healthcare specialties. Overseeing over 20 projects, he led initiatives that spanned clinical, regional, and administrative domains, driving impactful change and delivering tangible results. His proficiency in data management and human resources projects, coupled with his rotation-based exposure to specialty and primary care, instills confidence in his ability to navigate complex healthcare environments.
Before starting his graduate program, Amado dedicated himself to serving marginalized populations through collaborations with non-profit organizations and governmental entities. His tenure as an Administrative Assistant at Texas State University further honed his skills, allowing him to obtain a myriad of industry certifications, including Microsoft Excel (Expert) as well as the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), Certified Specialist Payment & Reimbursement (CSPR), Certified Specialist Physician Practice Management (CSPPM), Certified Specialist Accounting and Finance (CSAF), and Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) from HFMA.
Amado’s extensive experience and expertise have fueled his aspiration to leverage his background to excel as a healthcare consultant or educator. His goal is to contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals by sharing his knowledge and insights gained from his multifaceted career. His passion for driving positive change in healthcare is inspiring, and we are excited about his future contributions to the healthcare industry.
