Hilda Dalfonso assumes new CFO position

Hilda Dalfonso, FHFMA, FACHE, MBA, is the new CFO of Corpus Christi Medical Center in Texas, where she will be responsible for two hospitals and five affiliated sites of care. Dalfonso brings to the new position 23 years of financial, operational and business management experience in the healthcare field. Most recently, she served as vice president of finance at SCL Health Good Samaritan Medical Center, a 234-bed hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. Dalfonso began her career in 1999 as an administrator of Quest Diagnostics in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Since that time, she has served in various finance positions, both internationally and in the United States.

“Hilda’s previous experience as a healthcare executive and her proven leadership record will be an asset to Corpus Christi Medical Center as we continue to expand our operations and patient services to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve,” said Eric Evans, CEO of Corpus Christi Medical Center.

Dalfonso is a member of HFMA’s Colorado Chapter. 

Jennifer Doll named permanent CFO of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU)

After nearly 10 months as the academic health center’s interim CFO, Jennifer Doll, CHFP, CPA, MPA, is the new senior vice president and CFO at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. Doll joined OHSU in 2018 as vice president of hospital finance. Prior to that, she held senior finance roles at University of Missouri Health Care for more than 11 years. An active HFMA member, Doll previously served as an officer of the former Show-Me Chapter (now Greater Heartland) and is a current member of the Oregon Chapter. 

Kim Hodgkinson joins Hospital Sisters Health System

Springfield, Illinois-based Hospital Sisters Health System has named Kim Hodgkinson, FHFMA, MBA, as its new senior vice president and CFO. Hodgkinson has 30 years of experience and success in healthcare finance operations, revenue cycle, managed care strategy, information technology, Epic implementations, supply chain, treasury and investments and retail services within complex health systems. She previously has served in CFO roles at several other Catholic health systems, including Trinity Health, PeaceHealth, Aurora Health Care and Ascension. Hodgkinson is a member of HFMA’s McMahon-Illini Chapter.

Owensboro Health promotes Russ Ranallo to CFO

Russ Ranallo, FHFMA, has been tapped as CFO of Kentucky’s Owensboro Health. Ranallo’s career with the health system began in 1994, and he served as its vice president of finance since 2005. During that time, he helped finance the construction of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital — the largest project in the system’s history at $385 million. Ranallo also has overseen Owensboro Health’s contracts with insurers and government agencies and has led the system’s financial assistance program for patients and families. A member of HFMA’s Kentucky Chapter, Ranallo currently serves as chair of the Kentucky Hospital Care Technical Advisory Committee.

“To have the opportunity to serve in this role is truly a dream come true,” Ranallo said. “My goal is to make healthcare more accessible to the patients, team members and communities that we serve each day.”
