2021-22 HFMA Success Award winners announced

HFMA’s 2022 Leadership Training Conference (LTC) held April 24-26 in Phoenix was one for the record books. It was the first time in three years that so many volunteer leaders were able to be in the same place at the same time — in person. (All 500-plus attendees were required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.) The event also marked the first time in modern history that awards were presented at the LTC rather than the Annual Conference so more volunteers could be present.

The following winners of HFMA’s 2021-22 Chapter/Region Success Awards were announced:

  • Best Membership Growth: Metropolitan New  York Chapter
  • Best Value: Colorado Chapter
  • Best Engagement: Greater Heartland Chapter and Region 3
  • Innovation: Iowa Chapter and Massachusetts-Rhode Island Chapter
  • Passion: Arizona Chapter

“It was the first time we’ve announced awards live, without a chapter already knowing that they’d won,” said Brianna Engeseth, MBA, HFMA’s volunteer experience manager. “This really brought out the competitive spirit of our volunteer leaders. People were cheering and doing drumrolls on the tables.”

Previously announced winners of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 Chapter/Region Success Awards were also celebrated.
