Syntellis is a trusted leader for software, data and intelligence

How do you help healthcare organizations navigate the biggest challenges in healthcare?

Syntellis Performance Solutions offers industry-leading software, data and intelligence solutions to help healthcare organizations elevate clinical and financial performance.

Our Axiom and Connected Analytics software suites include budgeting, planning, financial management, cost accounting, decision support, reporting, and financial and clinical analytics tools that help drive performance and improve outcomes. These innovative, proven solutions help healthcare leaders address challenges with actionable insights and agility — which is why more than 450,000 users rely on our software to improve financial performance, and how we earned the HFMA peer review designation for seven consecutive years.

We partner with more than 2,800 hospitals and health systems, leveraging our collective 1,100 years of expertise to help organizations exceed their performance and clinical improvement goals.

What advice would you offer to healthcare leaders when choosing among vendors?

A vendor should provide more than just technology. Look for a partner committed to your success before, during and after the sale. To identify a true partner, look to outside sources for unbiased information. Consider ratings from trusted independent organizations such as HFMA Peer RAbouteview, Gartner, BPM Partners and Black Book. Ask for referrals from peer organizations and financial professionals you trust.

Review information the vendor publishes. Does the vendor regularly share information that’s relevant and valuable to you and the healthcare industry? Do subject matter experts offer their perspective on market trends? Syntellis is an acknowledged healthcare thought leader, publishing dozens of industry reports, articles, case studies and e-books each year that are extensively referenced by industry and mainstream news sources.

What is some advice you can give providers for a successful implementation of a new product or service?

Ensure they employ their own implementation professionals who have real-world experience working for healthcare organizations. Vendors invest in your success by recruiting and hiring experts who can ask and answer questions from your perspective and make recommendations based on first-hand finance experience at top-tier hospitals and health systems. That expertise will help guide you to use industry best practices to transform planning processes and financial performance. Be wary of software vendors that use third parties to implement their software because they usually lack deep technical and healthcare expertise and may dodge accountability when problems arise.

Get references from existing clients similar in size and service lines to your organization. Questions to ask include: How was their implementation experience? Is the support team responsive and knowledgeable? What post-implementation support and training are offered?
