David Nosacka joins Atlantic Health as executive vice president and CFO

David Nosacka, MHA, was recently appointed executive vice president and CFO for Atlantic Health, a nonprofit health system based in Morristown, New Jersey, with eight hospitals, more than 550 care sites, 26 urgent care centers and the Atlantic Medical Group. Nosacka had previously served as senior vice president and CFO for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, part of CommonSpirit Health, where he oversaw financial strategy and performance for the health system’s 12 hospitals and 300 care sites.

“David is a proven leader with the ideal blend of strategic and operational thinking to navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare environment,” Saad Ehtisham, Atlantic Health’s president and CEO said in its announcement of Nosacka’s appointment. 

Nosacka’s more than 25 years in health system leadership have included system vice president and CFO positions with several other health systems in Illinois, Texas and Nebraska.

Over the past three years, Nosacka has also served as mentor for aspiring finance leaders at the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University.

He has been a member of HFMA since July 27, 2018, and he is currently a member of the HFMA’s Greater Illinois Chapter. 

Lee Health appoints Heather Brandon vice president of financial services

Heather Brandon, CPA, has been appointed vice president of financial services for Fort Myers, Florida-based Lee Health. In the July 24 announcement of her appointment, Lee Health says Brandon’s role is to “lead the health system’s financial strategy and oversee core financial functions, including reporting, budgeting, reimbursement and long-term financial planning.”

Prior to this appointment, Brandon served as vice president of finance and system corporate controller at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio, and, before that, as hospital CFO at OhioHealth’s Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

She also has extensive experience serving on both for-profit and nonprofit boards.

Brandon joined HFMA on July 31, 2002, and is currently a member of the Florida Chapter.

Autism Care Partners names Kristofer Gochenour CFO

On July 6, Kristofer Gochenour, FHFMA, MBA, CPA, was appointed CFO of Autism Care Partners, a provider of applied behavior analysis (ABA), diagnostic, speech, occupational and feeding therapy services throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. His appointment follows his 17 years of leadership experience across ABA, behavioral health, home health, physical rehabilitation and post-acute care.

Gochenour previously served as CFO of Verbal Beginnings, a multi-state provider of comprehensive autism services based in Columbia, Maryland, and before that, he was CFO of Community Health Accreditation Partner based in Arlington, Virginia.

He joined HFMA on Jan. 14, 2015, and is a member of the Virginia-Washington DC Chapter.
