President’s Welcome
Dear HFMA Family,

I am honored to serve as your President of the HFMA Tennessee Chapter for 2026–2027. As we begin this exciting year together, I am proud to introduce our theme:
Commit. Connect. Create Impact.
This theme reflects both our focus and our commitment to action. In a fast-moving healthcare environment, it is easy to wait for the “right time”—but this year is about choosing to commit, being intentional in how we connect, and focusing on the impact we create together.
Commit challenges us to make time—for our professional growth, for our chapter, and for each other.
Connect encourages us to build meaningful relationships across our membership, with our business partners, and beyond our borders.
Create Impact reminds us that our work matters—not just in what we do, but in the difference we make for healthcare across Tennessee.
Throughout the year, our chapter will focus on bringing this theme to life in meaningful ways:
- Innovative Partnerships: We are excited to expand our global reach by partnering with HFMA in the United Kingdom to deliver joint webinars and share insights across healthcare systems.
- Stronger Connections: We will continue to create opportunities for engagement across our membership, fostering relationships that drive collaboration and innovation.
- Rural Engagement: Building on our commitment to serve the entire state, we will continue our Kelly Miller Road Shows; bringing education and connection directly to Rural communities across Tennessee.
- Relevant Education and Leadership Development: We remain committed to providing timely, high-value programming that supports your growth as healthcare leaders.
This year is not about doing more; it is about being intentional. Every connection, every conversation, and every effort is an opportunity to create lasting impact.
I invite each of you to be part of this journey. Whether you attend an event, engage with a new colleague, participate in a program, or simply make time to get involved – your commitment makes a difference.
Thank you for your continued support of the HFMA Tennessee Chapter. Together, we will commit, connect, and create meaningful impact across our profession and our communities.
With appreciation,
Kathryn A. Topper
President
HFMA Tennessee Chapter
