Connecticut Chapter

President’s Welcome

Kyle Dunleavy

Dear Connecticut HFMA Members and Partners,

It is truly an honor to serve as President of the Connecticut Chapter of HFMA. This chapter has played an integral role in my own professional journey over the past decade. The relationships, mentorship, and knowledge I’ve gained through volunteering have had a lasting impact on my career, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to now lead such a respected and engaged community of healthcare finance professionals.

Our chapter has long been defined by its commitment to high-quality education, meaningful connections, and collaboration across the healthcare community. In a field that continues to evolve rapidly, CT HFMA plays an important role in helping all of us stay informed, connected, and prepared for what lies ahead.

As I begin this term, I look forward to building on the strong foundation established by the leaders who came before me while focusing on three key priorities:

Delivering Practical, High-Impact Education

Our members rely on CT HFMA not just for knowledge, but for insight they can immediately apply. We will continue to prioritize programming that is timely, relevant, and focused on the real challenges facing healthcare organizations today.

Strengthening Engagement Across Our Community

One of the greatest strengths of this chapter is the diversity of perspectives across providers and business partners. We will continue creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue, peer learning, and collaboration at every career stage.

Expanding Opportunities to Get Involved

HFMA is powered by volunteers. Whether you are new to the organization or a long-standing member, your support and perspectives help shape the future of our chapter. Our goal this year is to make it even easier for members to engage, contribute, and grow within the chapter.

I encourage each of you to take advantage of what the chapter has to offer this year:

  • Attend an educational or social event
  • Volunteer to join a committee or help plan an event
  • Build new professional connections across our HFMA community

I’d also like to extend my sincere thanks to our Board, committee members, volunteers, and sponsors. Your commitment and support are what make this chapter successful.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve.

Check Out Our Fourth Annual Chapter Resource Guide!

Back by popular demand!  We are happy to announce the fourth edition of our Chapter Resource Guide.  It’s hard to believe a year has gone by since our last publication but we have had a lot going on behind the scenes to get this publication out.   Similar to last year, you will find interactive links to Advertisements, contact info and event registration while also providing perspective from industry experts and your fellow members!

We will continue to add pictures, chapter updates, and compelling articles/interviews with healthcare and political leaders.  So please check the guide frequently and we will also continue send out communications when new content is added.

And if you are interested in helping with the Chapter Resource Guide or social media, please reach out to us at [email protected] to learn more about volunteering with our Communications committee!
