President’s Welcome
Dear Members and Colleagues,
It is truly an honor to serve as your Chapter President for the Washington/Alaska HFMA community this year. I am both humbled and energized by the opportunity to lead such a talented, committed, and forward-thinking group of healthcare financial professionals.
As we begin this new chapter together, I’m excited to introduce our theme for the year: “Empowering Others to Shine.”
At its core, WA/AK HFMA has always been about connection, collaboration, and growth. Each of us brings unique skills, perspectives, and experiences to this organization—and when we actively support and elevate one another, we create an environment where innovation thrives and individuals reach their full potential.
This year, I challenge all of us to think about how we can empower those around us:
- By mentoring emerging leaders and sharing our knowledge
- By recognizing and celebrating the contributions of our peers
- By creating inclusive spaces where every voice is heard and valued
- By encouraging new ideas and embracing change in an evolving healthcare landscape
Empowerment is not just about leadership—it’s about lifting others up so they can succeed, lead, and ultimately shine in their own right.
Our WA/AK chapter has always been a place where meaningful relationships are built and where professionals come together to learn, grow, and advance the mission of healthcare. This year, we will continue to offer high-quality educational programming, networking opportunities, and leadership development initiatives designed to strengthen both our profession and our community.
I encourage each of you to get involved—attend events, volunteer for a committee, mentor a colleague, or simply reach out and connect with someone new. The more we engage, the stronger our chapter becomes.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Ann, Marni, our dedicated board members, volunteers, and past leaders whose commitment has laid the foundation for our continued success. I am inspired by their service and look forward to building on their legacy.
Together, let’s make this a year where we uplift one another, celebrate achievements, and create opportunities for everyone to shine.
