Position Description:
MVM Cardiac & Vascular Associates is a growing, physician‑owned cardiovascular practice recognized for clinical precision, compassionate treatment, and a team‑driven culture. We are bringing billing in‑house for the first time and are hiring our first Revenue Cycle Manager to build, lead, and optimize all core revenue cycle functions. This is an opportunity to define the foundation of RCM operations in a small but fast‑growing practice.

What You’ll Do:
- Revenue Cycle Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead all in‑house revenue cycle functions, including referrals, authorizations, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections.
- Transition workflows from an outsourced billing vendor to an internal, structured RCM operation.
- Develop and refine scalable processes, playbooks, and workflows to support a growing multi‑location practice.
- Monitor AR aging, reimbursement trends, and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Establish KPIs and reporting rhythms that support transparency and informed decision‑making.
Denials, Appeals & Compliance:
- Lead and execute denial management initiatives with urgency, focusing on root‑cause prevention and faster overturns.
- Build denial workflows, appeal templates, and tracking mechanisms from scratch.
- Maintain compliance with payer policies, coding regulations, and HIPAA standards.
Clinical & Operational Integration:
- Partner closely with physicians, clinical staff, and the front office to ensure timely, accurate documentation and clean claim submission.
- Improve coordination between scheduling, authorizations, and billing to reduce delays and avoidable denials.
- Support ongoing staff education, workflow reviews, and operational improvements.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a growing team of billers and authorization staff.
- Promote accountability, cross‑training, and a culture of urgency and ownership.
Required Qualifications:
You’ll Be A Great Fit If You Bring the Following:
- 5+ years of revenue cycle management experience in a medical practice or healthcare organization
- Prior experience building or significantly improving RCM workflows—especially in small or growing practices.
- Prior experience bringing outsourced billing in-house.
- Demonstrated ability to reduce aging AR and improve reimbursement timelines.
- Strong understanding of coding, billing, insurance authorizations, and collections workflows.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena preferred).
- Solid Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
- High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize dynamically.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfort working in a small, fast‑changing environment where processes are still being built.
- Organized, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified coder (CPC or equivalent) strongly preferred. If not certified, must be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of role.
- Cardiology or vascular experience

Location: Spartanburg, SC
Position Summary:
The Financial Manager II – FP&A provides leadership, management, and coordination related to month-end close process, including forecasting and variance analysis. The position will develop and maintain skills related to financial analysis, long range financial plans, budgets, and decision support. Directs the preparation of financial plans that are consistent with historical trends, strategic growth projections, and inflationary assumptions. The Financial Manager II – FP&A reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any healthcare related field
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Finance / Accounting related function
License/Registration/Certifications: Must be proficient user of Excel and high understanding of database programs.
Preferred Requirements:
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Finance, or Business-Related Field
Preferred Experience: 8+ years’ experience in finance / decision support / or related field, to include at least 2 years in a healthcare setting.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of initiative, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Contributes to preparation of long-range financial plan through analysis of historical performance, incorporation of inflationary and strategic growth assumptions, and collaboration with financial leadership to align w/ systemwide objectives.
- Produce, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, complete with variance explanations; collaborate w/ internal and external stakeholders recommending corrective action.
- Translate complex data into strategic insights, preparing impactful presentations for finance leadership team.
- Remains current on the latest relevant accounting and healthcare issues, including state and governmental regulations and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial reporting processes, systems, or other tools.
- Perform leadership duties as assigned, related to the operating budget. This includes tracking changes, review budget for exceptions and variances, and audit functions.
- Provides leadership to and manages the productivity and performance of staff members.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the use of Excel, Power Pivot, Power Bi, and other data analytics/decision support tools to achieve organizational goals and initiatives.
- Demonstrates excellent project management skills as well as a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
