President’s Welcome

McMahon-Illini HFMA Members –

It is hard to believe that I am finally beginning my year as chapter president. I still remember when I decided to get more involved and became chapter secretary. I didn’t realize at the time what that really meant and where that path would lead me. I have the biggest shoes to fill with my predecessors, and I hope I am able to honor them with a year of growth for our chapter.

Being involved in HFMA has been one of the greatest choices I’ve made. If you would like to be more involved in our chapter, please reach out to me or any of the other chapter leaders and we would be happy to speak with you about opportunities. I encourage everyone to attend our events whenever possible, get to know the other members, and consider taking an active role!

The Officers have attended the Leadership Training Conference (LTC) in Phoenix, AZ to learn more about our roles and how to make our chapter successful. We also spent our time planning the year for our chapter. We are holding our chapter planning meeting in June in Springfield, IL to share with the other board and committee members what we were able to accomplish, what we have on the horizon, and work together to plan for our future as a chapter. This is also a great time to network and learn from each other.
