**The Nebraska Chapter of HFMA wishes to let our members know we are here for support during this challenging time. While the COVID response has limited our ability to hold many of our traditional education events, we will do what we can to bring our members the most timely and relevant education via webinars and other socially distant platforms for the foreseeable future. With laws, funding structures, and regulations changing rapidly as a result of this crisis, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Chapter leadership team if there are any educational items you think the Chapter should be pursuing at this time. You can reach out to Jess Paisley at [email protected]; Shelly Soupir at [email protected] or Sean Wolfe at [email protected] with any suggestions.
We appreciate all the hard work our members are currently doing to keep their organizations financially sound and their communities healthy and safe during this crisis. Please remember your HFMA Chapter and fellow HFMA members can be an invaluable resource as you navigate these turbulent times.**

President’s Welcome

Welcome to the HFMA Nebraska chapter website! We completed our website integration with the HFMA Association in 2022 and are excited to offer a consistent format across all chapters that will enable smooth browsing and searching for chapter resources. This includes registration to future programming events and links to past presentations. Take some time to check it out!
Over this past year, our leadership team has worked incredibly hard to offer quality programming that was accessible both live in person and virtually to mee the dynamic needs of our chapter membership. We returned to our first live in person event in January 2022 that had focused content over a two-day period on patient consumerism and employee recruitment and retention. Those attending in person were excited to reengage in personal connections with fellow members and experience the great networking opportunity our chapter is known for.
We completed our strategic planning process for the 2022-2023 year and have created impactful action items that will maintain our chapter’s excellence by providing high quality programming and networking opportunities our members have come to known and expect. We are ready to address change and innovation following two very challenging years that disrupted our tried-and-true tradition and meet the call to action from Aaron Crane, HFMA national chair, to “ignite the spark.”
Our chapter has grown considerably over the past year through new enterprise members and it is important those members realize the immense benefits HFMA can offer in terms of education, certification, and networking. One of the best ways to realize the chapter benefits is through attending our events and volunteering. We have multiple committees that fit all types of interests and encourage anyone interested to reach out to me or a member on our leadership team. This upcoming year holds promise and potential and I look forward to seeing you at our next event!
