Ask the Experts: Rural Hospital Resources
I work at a 24-bed critical access hospital in North Dakota that also has a rural health clinic, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, and a wellness center. I am looking for samples or templates for the following resources.
- A finance policy and procedure manual template that I could adapt to my organization
- A healthcare payroll specialist job description
Answer: Here are two sources:
- The Rural Health Information Hub (formerly the Rural Assistance Center) offers an online library and tools for rural healthcare providers.
- Internet searches using the phrases “hospital accounting policies and procedures” and “payroll specialist” resulted in access to several resources and a sample job description.
