Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York City announced in March that Steve Glass had joined the organization as executive vice president and CFO. Glass came to MSK from Cleveland-based Medical Mutual Insurance Co., where he had served as president and CEO from 2022 to 2024. That appointment followed more than 20 years at the Cleveland Clinic, where Glass started as controller and rose in just over three years to the CFO position. Glass’s professional experience in healthcare finance and operations spans more than 37 years.
Glass will oversee the organization’s financial strategy and operations, and he will “work closely with leadership across the institution to support the organization’s continued growth and mission to end cancer for life,” according to MSK’s announcement.
“Steve is a highly accomplished healthcare finance leader whose experience guiding complex, mission-driven organizations will be invaluable as MSK continues to grow and innovate,” said Selwyn M. Vickers, MD, FACS, president and CEO of MSK in the announcement.
Glass also has been an HFMA member for more than 30 years, having joined in September 1991. He is a member of HFMA’s Northeast Ohio Chapter.
Delray Medical Center appoints Lukas Iwanski to CFO position
Lukas Iwanski, MBA, was promoted in March of this year to CFO of Delray Medical Center, in Delray Beach, Florida, part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare. He previously served as CFO of Florida Coast Medical Center since 2024 and earlier was group assistant CFO for Palm Beach Health Network. He has held financial leadership roles with Tenet Healthcare since March 2021.
Iwanski joined HFMA in July 2023 and is a member of HFMA’s Florida Chapter.
Katherine Wong is appointed CFO of two Florida hospitals
In March, Katherine Wong, MBA, was named CFO of Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, part of the Hollywood, Florida-based Memorial Healthcare System. She previously served as CFO of Memorial Hospital West, a role she held since 2023, and prior to that was CFO of HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in Tamiami. Over her more than two decades of healthcare industry experience, Wong has also served as CFO for HCA Florida Northwest Hospital and controller for HCA Florida Westside Hospital.
Wong is a member of HFMA’s Florida Chapter and joined HFMA in April 2018.
Covenant Health names Eric Jolly CFO
Eric Jolly, CHFP, has been appointed CFO of Covenant Health in Andover, Massachusetts. He previously served for about two years as vice president of finance for Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia, after more than 11 years of experience as a consultant with Kodiak Solutions (which prior to October 2023 was part of Crowe LLP).
He has been an HFMA member since November 2011 and is a member of HFMA’s Georgia Chapter.
