President’s Welcome

Hello Nevada Chapter Members, HFMA colleagues, and friends,
I am truly honored and grateful to serve as your Nevada Chapter President for the 2026–2027 term. HFMA has played an important role in my own professional journey, and it means a great deal to give back to an organization and a community that has provided so much value, connection, and growth.
As I step into this role, I’ve been reflecting on what makes a chapter strong, not just for today, but for the future. To me, it comes down to foundation. When you have a strong foundation, you don’t need constant reinvention, you simply make thoughtful adjustments, stay aligned to your purpose, and continue moving forward.
This year, my focus is captured in a simple theme:
“Rewire for Growth”
“Rewire” is about being intentional. It’s about taking a step back to evaluate how we engage, how we serve our members, and how we prepare for the future of healthcare finance. At the same time, “growth” reflects our commitment to expanding our impact: professionally, personally, and as a chapter.
To bring this to life, I’m focused on a few key priorities:
- Strengthening member engagement so every member feels connected and sees value in participation
- Expanding education and thought leadership to keep pace with the evolving healthcare landscape
- Growing our membership pipeline, especially by welcoming early-career professionals
- Building stronger relationships across providers, payers, and partners throughout Nevada
- Developing future leaders to ensure our chapter continues to thrive for years to come
I invite each of you to be part of this journey through REWIRE:
- R – Rejuvenate
Let’s bring fresh energy and perspective into everything we do.
- E – Educate
We will continue to invest in relevant, timely education that supports the chapter’s success. - W – Welcome
We are committed to building an inclusive, supportive, and inviting community.
- I – Innovation
Your ideas matter: this is a space to share, challenge, and grow together. - R – Relationships
Our chapter is strongest when we are connected and supporting one another. - E – Engagement
Get involved: committees, events, mentorship, this is where the real value of HFMA comes to life.
Personally, I am excited about what we can accomplish together this year. I believe our greatest strength is our people, and when we show up, participate, and invest in one another, we create something meaningful that goes far beyond our individual roles.
Thank you for your trust, your involvement, and your commitment to the Nevada HFMA Chapter. I look forward to seeing many of you throughout the year.
Warm regards,
Alan Arellano
President, Nevada Chapter HFMA (2026–2027)
