President’s Welcome
On behalf of the leadership team, I would like to welcome you to the Northern New England HFMA Chapter webpage. While you’re here, please take the opportunity to explore the numerous resources available, including information on upcoming educational offerings, networking events, volunteer opportunities, job postings, and much more!
The Northern New England chapter was formed in the spring of 2021 through the merger of two previously independent chapters: Maine and New Hampshire/Vermont. We saw many great successes in the first year of the newly merged chapter, including expanded educational offerings, growth in volunteerism, additional opportunities for our sponsors, reduced administrative redundancies, and the first in-person educational event since the chapter’s formation! We have remained constant in our commitment to providing quality education programs and other tools to help you navigate our industry’s many challenges.
Our chapter’s success relies on members who are willing to volunteer their time to help run our chapter. I would like to thank all the volunteers, past and present, who have served on our leadership team and committees. I would especially like to thank Erin Cutter, Past President of the newly formed Northern New England chapter; you successfully led the chapter during an especially pivotal time and it’s an honor to follow in your footsteps!
If you haven’t had the opportunity to get involved, I encourage you to consider participating in one of our chapter committees. In addition to giving back to our community, the many benefits of volunteering include developing leadership skills, making new connections with peers in the industry, and learning about how the chapter functions. Volunteering for your local chapter can also help maximize the value of your HFMA membership. To get started, please see our “Leadership” page for information about our current committees, and our “About Northern New England Chapter” page for contact information.
I would also like to thank our sponsors. Their continuous support allows us to offer high-quality educational programs at a reasonable price for our members. Please visit our Sponsorship page for a list of current sponsors.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for your continued commitment to HFMA during a challenging and unique time with the ongoing pandemic. Although we are still wrestling with uncertainty, I look forward to the opportunities this next year will bring. If you have any suggestions to improve our service or ideas for educational programming or social events, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Wade Gallon
