President’s Welcome

Welcome to the 2026–2027 HFMA New Mexico chapter year.

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your Chapter President. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated Board of Directors, volunteers, sponsors, and members as we continue advancing healthcare financial management across New Mexico and the broader Region 10 community.

This year’s theme, “From Insight to Impact,” reflects the important role we play as healthcare finance professionals. Every day, we transform data into decisions, challenges into opportunities, and ideas into meaningful outcomes. Our work extends beyond financial stewardship.  It helps healthcare organizations remain strong, sustainable, and capable of serving the patients and communities who depend on them.

As our industry continues to evolve, HFMA New Mexico remains committed to providing opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth. This year, we will focus on three key priorities:

Innovation – Exploring emerging technologies, new approaches, and best practices that help healthcare organizations navigate an increasingly complex environment.

Engagement – Strengthening connections among providers, payers, business partners, and healthcare leaders across New Mexico while creating meaningful opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development.

Impact – Applying the knowledge and relationships gained through HFMA to make a measurable difference within our organizations, our profession, and the communities we serve.

We are also excited to strengthen our partnerships throughout Region 10 HFMA, collaborating with neighboring chapters to share ideas, expand educational opportunities, and leverage the collective expertise of healthcare finance leaders across our region. Together, we can learn from one another, address common challenges, and create greater value for our members.

The success of our chapter has always been driven by the commitment and engagement of our members. Whether you are a longtime HFMA leader or a first-time participant, your involvement helps shape the future of our chapter and our profession.
